Historical Society Museum on Main St (located one
door west of the Valley Market)
 | Gallery One includes a special display of Native American
artifacts found locally, numerous items from Tiskilwa businesses
and schools, the military, and a collection of old postcards and
photographs.
Gallery Two is filled with displays of memorabilia from
village and school bands, local churches, the 1960 watershed project,
old farm implements and homemade farm toys, the depot and
railroad, and the Hennepin Canal.
Gallery Three houses a "domestic room", set up to
resemble a living area with an early sewing machine, old clothing
and furniture, family bibles, and a breakfront full of Tiskilwa
treasures.
On the second Monday night of each month , the society presents a
program of historical interest, beginning at 7:00pm in the community
room of the Tiskilwa Fire Station on High Street . The
presentation is followed by refreshments and social time, plus a
brief business meeting. The public is welcome and encouraged
to attend.
A quarterly newsletter "The Wapsipinicon" is published
containing articles of interest about Tiskilwa's past, present and
future. It interested in receiving the newsletter, please
